Nightmare in Daylight

Our deepest condolences shrouded in communal heartache are extended to the family of Leibby Kletsky. The horrible, senseless crime committed upon this little Brooklyn boy walking alone from a daycamp to meet his mother bonds us all in sympathetic and agonizing grief.

That this could happen to any child on our streets, speaks volumes to the fear we all have as parents. The NYPD did a very good job in finding and arresting the monster who did brutally abducted and murdered this child, and we hope that justice upon him is swift, unforgiving and very painful.

There is much more to write, to DO, to organize and to mobilize ourselves-- united and working together across the city building Safe Perimeters in every community to ensure that nothing like this EVER happens to another child in NYC again.

May God bless the Kletsky family with strength, and may their son rest in eternal peace.
